He was predeceased by: his wife Judith; his parents, Tjostov "Chet" Knutson and Selma "Sallie" Knutson (Hedstrand); his parents-in-law, Marvin and Frances Jackson; and his siblings-in-law, Ron Sando, Jim Lemer and Cheryl Jackson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kara Jo Prestrud (Mike Bullock) of Hudson, WI and Bria Grudzielanek (Matt) of Richfield; his girlfriend Maureen Cook of Plymouth; his grandchildren, Abby Countryman (Zeke), Emily Spann (Jordan), Nathan Prestrud and Courtney Prestrud; his great grandchild Zeal Countryman; his sister Karen Sando of Bismarck, ND; and his siblings-in-law, Bruce Jackson (Anita) of Nampa, ID, Jim Jackson (Debbie) of Ellensburg, WA and Janet Lemer of Rapid City, SD. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Faith Lutheran Church (800 Waconia Pkwy N, Waconia, MN 55387). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
