He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Paul Hacking (Joanna) of Kalisz, Sara Backstrom (Brent) of Papillion and Naomi Van Batavia (Jason) of Wadena, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Greta, Joseph, Henry Van Batavia, Andrew and Stella Backstrom; and his brothers-in-law, Harold Erickson of Wadena and Charles Stringer of Melbourne, Florida. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
