He is survived by: his wife Nina; his children, Sara Ross (Kevin), John Overland (Karla) and David Overland; his grandchildren, Isaac Overland, Gabrielle Ross, Noah Ross (McKenzi), Elsa Overland, Abram Overland, Phillip Ross, Wesley Overland and Nolan Overland; his sister Ardell Eia (Gilmur); and his sister-in-law Marian Salzwedel (Wally). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
