He was predeceased by : his parents, Alvin Brasel and Maxine Brasel (Crabb); his grandparents, John, Emma Brasel, Joe and Esther Crabb; and his grandson Logan Brasel.

He is survived by : his brother-in-law Al Tappe; his children, Ravyn Mortenson (Paul) of Wadena, MN, Celeste Weber of Casselton, ND, Cheyenne McManigle (Cody) of Wadena, MN, Angalea Craig (Brad) of Casselton, ND and Joshua Brasel of Wadena, MN; and his siblings, Wayne Brasel (Jan) of Ottertail, MN, Sherry Erickson of Moorhead, MN, Shirley Huntington (Jim) of Sebeka, MN, Ron Brasel (Renee) of West Fargo, ND and Joyce Tappe of Wadena, MN. He is also survived by brother-in-law: Joel Rising; 14 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
