With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lou Ann Haugen of Wadena, Minnesota, born in Parkers Prairie, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 18, 2025 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gladys Marian Hansen and Louie Downing; her husband Christian Haugen; her sister Sharon Teal; and her brother-in-law Marlin Jensen.
She is survived by: her children, Curtis Haugen (Kim) of Henning, Charlie Haugen (Kristen) of Rothsay and Cindy Leppanen (Rodney) of Swan River; her grandchildren, Jason Haugen, Jacob Haugen, Christopher Haugen, Nathan Leppanen (Jenny), Justin Leppanen (Sarah) and Kristina Kivari-Leppanen (Hali); her stepgrandchildren, ReAnna Herk, Amy Walter and Bill Wischnak; her siblings, Gloria Otto (Wally) of Alexandria, Eloise Jensen of Henning, Mavis Thompson (Tom) of Apple Valley, Verla Johnson (Mike) of Richfield and Dale Downing (Vicky) of Almora; and her brothers-in-law, Courtland Haugen (Karen) of Grand Forks and Cedric Haugen (Kathy) of Green Bay, Wisconsin. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
