He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Peters and Vergie Peters (Erickson); his brothers, Bob, Craig and Mark; and his brother-in-law Gary Pearson.

He is survived by: his wife Liz; his children, Shawn Peters, Eric Peters (Joslyn) and Angie Ealy (Don); and his grandchildren, Ashley (Jackson), Kayla, Nick, Delainey, Quincy, Isaac, Grace and Emmett. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and a wide circle of friends.
