Richard left this world on January 8, 2026 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Trout and Amelia Trout (Macho); his siblings, Clifford Trout (Jean), Francis Trout, Walt Trout (Shannon) and Virginia Wilson (Ted); his parents-in-law, Lawrence and Regina Schieffer; and his siblings-in-law, Lee Kalisch, Leon Hoemberg, Ronald Poynter and Bonnie Trout.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his children, Larry Trout of Houston, TX, Thomas Trout (Wendy) of Northfield, MN, Julie Maroo (Bob) of Rochester, MN, Diane Fournier (Ric) of Annandale, MN and Karen Trout (Fern) of Detroit Lakes, MN.; and his siblings, Rosemarie Kalisch, Geneva Hoemberg, Donald Trout, Eileen Poynter, Harold Trout (Joyce) and Leonard Trout (Linda).
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 16th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A prayer was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 6:15 PM at the St. Ann's Parish Hall (514 1st St SE, Wadena, MN 56482). A rosary was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 7:15 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, January 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Ann's Catholic Church (514 1st St SE, Wadena, MN 56482). A burial was held on Friday, January 16th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Calvary Cemetery.
