He was predeceased by : his parents, Frances Carter and Clifford Carter; his son Greg Carter; and his in-laws, Helen Barker, John and Paul Barker (Joan).

He is survived by : his sons-in-law, Greg Bauer, Reggie Kiser and Matt Delly; his grandchildren-in-law, Madeline, Kolby, Morgen, Gavin, Olivia, Parker, Emmett and Zoe; his wife Martha; his daughters, Michelle Bauer (Greg), Katie Delly (Matt) and Laura Kiser (Reggie); his grandchildren, Madeline, Morgen Bauer, Olivia, Emmett Delly, Kolby, Gavin, Parker and Zoe Kiser; his siblings, Gayle Swandby, John Carter, Theresa Carter, Mark Carter, Barbara Ralph (Jeff), Kevin Carter and Michael Carter; and his in-law Robert Barker (Maureen).
