He is survived by: his children, Charles "Rick" Sonnek (Barbara Jean) of La Crescent, MN, Tim Sonnek (Barb) of New Prague, MN, Beth Thompson (John) of Rochester, MN, Amy Adams (David) of Minneiska, MN, Steve Sonnek (Vonnie) of St. Clair, MN, Chris Sonnek (Karen) of New Richland, MN, Kellen Sonnek of Fairmont, MN, Perry Sonnek of Muskego, WI, Joy Sonnek of Rochester, MN, Sara Lee Sonnek of Mankato, MN, Peter Sonnek (Lori) of Minnesota Lake, MN, Anthony Sonnek (Brenda) of Elysian, MN and Matthew Sonnek (Rose) of Rochester, MN; his son-in-law Trevor Buswell of Houston, MN; his caregiver Clement Nhyirani; and his siblings, George Sonnek (Barb), Sister Carmen Sonnek, Betty Latourelle (Jack) and Rita Wisher. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (225 3rd Ave, Waldorf, MN 56091).
