It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Albert Kenneth Axelson of Wanamingo, Minnesota, born in Welch, Minnesota, who passed away on April 11, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Axelson and Esther Axelson (Norell); his wife Billie; and his siblings, Franklin, Edward, Gilbert Axelson, Alice Holmes and Ilene Scrivner.

He is survived by : his children, Larry of Wanamingo, MN, Dale (Sheri) of Florence, AZ, Jon (Lupe) of Fountain Hills, AZ, Beth Weisbecker (Steve) of Mankato, MN, Bonnie Peterson (Paul) of Brainerd, MN and Jennifer Sanneman (David) of Byron, MN. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (301 2nd Ave, Wanamingo, MN 55983). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Wanamingo VFW Quamme Post 186 or the Wanamingo Veterans Honor Guard.
