We announce the death of Betty Arlien Malchow of Wanamingo, Minnesota, who passed away on September 12, 2026, at the age of 99. Betty will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Hoag and Bessie Hoag (Dethloff); her husband Gerhardt "Get" Malchow; and her sister Arlien Kosiolek. She is survived by: her children, Becky (Gary) and David (Michelle); and her grandchildren, Jeffrey, Haha, Meghan, Mikayla and Matt (Jayce). She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (301 2nd Ave, Wanamingo, MN 55983). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery (301 2nd Ave, Wanamingo, MN 55983).
In lieu of flowers, a memorial gift may to donated to Habitat for Humanity or Bread for the World.
