She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth L. Syverson and Ingeborg Syverson (Erickson); her husband John Shelstad (Smoke); her sisters, Marie and Margaret; her godchild Marit Gillard; her mother-in-law Estella Shelstad; her in-laws, Terrance Shelstad, Genevieve, John Robbins and William Shelstad; and her friend Rita Stockmo.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tracy Boyum (Steve) and Lisa Shelstad-Ladwig (Scott); her granddaughters, Kristin Samuelson, Kari Froyum (Brad), LeeAnn and Brooklyn Ladwig; her great grandchildren, Will, Luke Samuelson, Knox and Everly Froyum; her siblings, Kenneth L. Syverson, Jr. (Jane), Henry Syverson (Marlene), Martha Gehrking (Ted) and Maren Barone (Joe); and her sister-in-law Marlene Shelstad.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church (https://secure.myvanco.com) in Wanamingo.
