With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Minerva Schantzen of Warren, Minnesota, born in Erskine, Minnesota, who passed away on May 29, 2026 at the age of 102. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Torkel "Tom" Saga and Julia Saga (Tvedt); her husband Lester Schantzen; her son Ricky Schantzen; her stepchildren, Chris-Ann Abrahamson and Loren Schantzen; and her siblings, Ray, Meredith, Leland and Shirley.
She is survived by: her children, Bruce Schantzen (Deb) of Buffalo, MN and Diane Hageman; her grandchildren, Jeremy Hageman, Angie Malo (Troy), Jill Linegar (Joe) and Kyle Schantzen (Heidi); her great grandchildren, Kara, Lucas, Alyssa, Emma, Caden, Colton, Crosby, Kaitlyn, Kaci and Tyler; and her stepgrandchildren, Keith Abrahamson (Pam), Todd Abrahamson (Beth), Jodi Abrahamson (Bob Erickson), Kim Neubauer (Jim) and Mindi Acker (Rick). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
