He was predeceased by : his parents, Swedish and Elizabeth Hillman (Johnson); his wife Eileen Sund; his son Steve Hillman; and his brothers, Harold Morris (Walter), J. Maynard and Paul Hillman.

He is survived by : his daughters, Kathleen Peterson (Dwight) of Warren and Debra Omdahl of Grand Forks, ND. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church (105 S 6th St, Warren, MN 56762). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
