He was predeceased by: his parents, Ingvald Olson and Olga Olson (Nelson); his wife Wanda Urtel; his grandson Tony; and his siblings, Ray, Baby Boy Olson, Joann, Ruby, Janice, Eilene, Carol-Ann and Marianne.
He is survived by: his sons, James, Curtis of Warroad, Richard (Sarah) and David of Minneapolis, MN; his grandsons, Corey Olson of Rochester, MN, Jay, Charlie of Milwaukee, WI and Sawyer; his brother Ole (Shelia) of Roseau, MN; and his siblings-in-law, Liz Braaten (Maynard) and Fred Urtel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
