He is survived by: his siblings, Charlie Karsten (Kris), Dennis Karsten (Connie), Wayne Karsten (Kim) and Lori Smith (Doug); and his nieces and nephews, Jason Karsten (Dawn), Brandon Karsten (Tabitha), Trisha Gauding (Brad), Natasha Grunzke (Chris), Casey Johnson (Alex), Cody Johnson (Brianna), Tyler Smith (Kaeley) and James Doud (Sara).
