He was predeceased by: his parents, Allan Borglum and Gloria Borglum (Hamson); and his grandparents, Dick, Ada Borglum, Harvey and Catherine Hamson.
He is survived by: his close friend Lois Gleason of Waseca, MN; his children, Cathryn Shifflett (John) of Waseca, MN, Jennifer Empson (Chris) of Plymouth, MN, Juston Borglum (Julie) of Waseca, MN and Elizabeth Helland (David) of Dodge Center, MN; his grandchildren, Alexis Patterson (Alex), Natalie Shifflett (Brandon), Michaela Shifflett, Sam Empson, Nick Empson, Joe Empson, Mason Helland, Brody Helland, Brianna Helland and Easton Borglum; and his siblings, Jo Ann Kelling, Barbara Fennert, Richard Borglum (Marie), Darrell Borglum (Sue), Raymond Borglum (Barb) and Tammy Engen (Paul). He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (111 4th St NW, Waseca, MN 56093).
