He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Kuster and Leilah Kuster (Johnston); his brothers, LeRoy Kuster (June) and LaVern Kuster (Linda); his parents-in-law, Jack and Lilly Krohnberg (Schulz); his niece Leann Brandt (Kuster); and his sister-in-law Maryann Cummings (Jerry).
He is survived by: his wife Helen Kuster of Waseca; his children, Katherine Jensen of Lonsdale and Michael Kuster (Jolene) of Waseca; his grandchildren, Andrew "A. J." Ryan (Sara), Amanda Braith (John), Abby Zimmer (Thomas), Adam Jensen, Shelly Kuster (Dustin), Tony Kuster and Jackie Kuster; his great grandchildren, Gavin, Kayly Ryan, Hayden (Zoey), Annabelle Braith, Armondo II (Ava), Lilly, Stella Balderas, Meena Kuster, Jackson (Katrina), Gillette, Lexus and Keaton Sandborg; and his brother Larry Kuster (Sue). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the State Street Chapel of Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service (711 N State St, Waseca, MN 56093). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. John Lutheran Church (401 3rd Ave NE, Waseca, MN 56093).
Memorials are preferred to the Waseca American Legion Honor Guard.
