She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Harbitz and Vernell Harbitz (Black); her husband Phillip Barden; her brother Wayne Harbitz; and her parents-in-law, Vince and Gladys Barden (Gehring).
She is survived by: her children, Derek Barden of North Mankato and Chelsey Cassidy (Luke) of Waseca; her grandchildren, Shay Barden, Bree Barden and Kenna Cassidy; her siblings, Dianne Pearson (Tim), Dale Harbitz (Deb), Marcy MacDonald (Mac), Jane Wilkison (Rod) and Kevin Harbitz (Jenny); and her siblings-in-law, Greg Barden and Rosemary Ankrum (Ben). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Woodville Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Waseca VFW Post 1642 (113 E Elm Ave, Waseca, MN 56093).
