He was predeceased by: his parents, Kermit Gilbertson and Marie Gilbertson (Bowman); his sisters, Linda Nelsen and Sandra Gilbertson; his siblings-in-law, Jim Johnson and Nancy Gilbertson; and his parents-in-law, Edith and Oscar Olson.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Jean Gilbertson of Waseca; his children, Chad James Gilbertson of Waseca, Anne Marie Gilbertson of Waseca and Jane Lynn Schleicher (Phillip) of Waseca; his grandchildren, Ellie, Cora, Lucy Schleicher, Madison Melcher (Grant Huinker), Arik Castro, Charley Castro and Lincoln Castro; his siblings, Steve Gilbertson of Alexandria, Sue Barber (Bill) of Albert Lea and Lanae Thorstad (Larry) of Albert Lea; and his siblings-in-law, Tom Nelsen of St. Peter and Judy Christenson of Albert Lea. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Grace Lutheran Church (300 E Elm Ave, Waseca, MN 56093). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at the Woodville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are preferred and may be directed to Terry's family.
