She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Stanhope and Margaret Stanhope (West); her husband Lloyd Benson; her siblings, Ernest Stanhope, Donald Stanhope, Paul Stanhope, Larry Nemec, Darlene and Shirley; and her siblings-in-law, Caroline Stanhope, Donna Stanhope, Beatrice Benson Purdy and Bill Purdy.
She is survived by: her stepfather Joseph Nemec; and her children, Sue Heisler (Wilbur), Mary Metelak (Stew), John Benson (Billie Jean), Margaret Benson Thompson and Paul Benson (Shelly).
