He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Howe and Mollie Howe (Whalen); and his siblings, Bill Howe and Helen Mary Wagner. He is survived by: his wife Marylyn Howe; his children, Kaaren Howe (Leilani Hotaling) of Ely, Kathleen Prouty (Jim) of Plymouth and Kent Howe Jr. (Sue) of Shoreview; his grandchildren, Kira Howe Hotaling, Ketki Varsha, Eric Prouty (Rowan), Jamie Prouty (Isaac), Kelly Prouty (Tyler), Pete Howe, Josh Howe and Andrew Howe; his great grandchild Cainan; and his brother Kevin Howe (Mary Ann). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Bartholomew (630 Wayzata Blvd, Wayzata, MN 55391).
