He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Leonard and Katharina Dorthea Liepold (Claussen); his wife Norma Joan Liepold (Mixner); his brother Roger Liepold; and his parents-in-law, John and Leila Mixner.
He is survived by: his children, Gregory Liepold of Sioux Falls, SD, Robert Liepold of Dacono, CO, Linda Meschke (Paul) of Victoria, MN, Pamela Iverson (Larry) of Wentworth, SD, Brenda Knofczynski (Bill) of Kandiyohi, MN and Gary Liepold (Amy) of Woodstock, GA; and his sisters-in-law, Leila Liepold of San Antonio, TX and Karyl Henze (Daryl) of Urbandale, IA. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (321 9th St, Heron Lake, MN 56137).
