He was predeceased by: his parents, Rupert Scherer and Lucille Scherer (Harvey Scherer); his granddaughter Marjorie; and his brother-in-law Jim Monaghan. He is survived by: his wife Linda (Galzki) of Anne's Catholic Church; his children, Joseph Scherer (Tina), Andrew Scherer (Amanda), Jessica Scherer (Peter Lund) and Lindsay Scherer (Sean Schonberger); his grandchildren, Clifford, Luke, Carson, Josie, Cora and Zoe; and his siblings, Ruby Monaghan, Sue Dominik (Tom) and Jim Scherer (Clarita).
