Stephen left this world on September 15, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Franta and Katherine Franta; and his brothers, Herbert Jr. and Frank. He is survived by: his wife Jeane; his daughters, Calli Franta (James) and Ashley Franta (Shane); his former wife Kathryn Franta (Herbeck); his children, Stephanie Scerbak, Christine Carrier (Greg), Matthew Franta (Melissa) and Nancy Mir (Tamas); and his brother David Franta (Laura). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
