He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph P. Brausen and Anna Gassert Brausen; his wife Mary Louise Weichert Brausen; and his siblings, Louise Brausen Tillman, Ralph Frank Brausen, Helen Brausen Haider, Joseph Peter Brausen, Jr., Bertha Brausen Mays and Mary Anne Brausen Schreifels. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
