It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harold I. Nowak of Welcome, Minnesota, who passed away on April 17, 2026, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ignatius Nowak and Anna Nowak (Kotewa); his wife Joan Nowak; his son Todd Nowak; his brother Richard Nowak; his parents-in-law, Harold and Elaine Koehn; and his siblings-in-law, Donna Bertrand, Shirley Erickson, Ronald Koehn, Roger Koehn, David Koehn and Craig Koehn.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Barutt (Michael) of Graceville, MN and Jon Nowak (Karen) of Pemberton, MN; his grandchildren, Chad Barutt (Clair), Alex Barutt (Mikayla), Hunter Nowak, Emma Nowak, Nikki Lewis, Mitchel Nowak (Dana), Emily Cook (Cody), Meg Topete (Tov), Matt Hiller (Shelly), Katie Hiller (Austen) and Allison Douglas (Tyler); his great grandchildren, Chet Barutt, Cooper Barutt, Layla Lawton, Madison Lewis, Wyatt Lewis, Levi Lewis, Sawyer Cook, Kory Cook, Kashton Cook, Macklin Cook, Everly Topete, Nolan Schooley, Griffin Roselius, Charlotte Roselius and Ellie Roselius; his brother Earl Nowak (Judy); his in-laws, Maureen Vogel, Gerald Koehn (Elaine), Mark Koehn (Virginia), Lefty Erickson and Cheryl Koehn; his close friend Tari Stradtman (Bob); Mikayla, Kinze and Dawn Bursaw (Tim). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
