She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Yost and Myrtice Yost (Biesterfeld); her son Todd; her sister Phyllis Enser (Marlen); her parents-in-law, Ole and Selma Ranes; her siblings-in-law, Bergetta Goodnight (Charles), Thelma Frerichs (Johnnie) and Chuck Armstrong; her sibling's children, Jackie Frerichs, Tracy Armstrong and James Armstrong; her stepmother Sophia Yost (Brandsoy); and her stepsister Shirley Anderson (Gene).
She is survived by: her husband Odean Ranes; her daughter-in-law Diane Ranes of Lake Mills, IA; her children, Timothy Ranes (Lori) of Forest City, IA and Tammy Bauman (Brenan) of Walters, MN; her grandchildren, Tony Ranes (Beth Hoffmann), Krystal Knutson (Klint), Zachary Ranes, Kyle Bauman (Ali) and Tara Lauwagie (Donte); her great grandchildren, Kallen, Kipton Knutson, Kaden, Madelyn Bauman and Leo Lauwagie; her sisters-in-law, Marcy Armstrong and Margo Neva (Fred); and her stepsiblings, JoAnn Ovrebo, Mary Erichsrud (Russ), Judy Underdahl, Carol Schroeder (James), Earl Brandsoy (Barb) and Dale Brandsoy (Portia).
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Nasinec Funeral Home (255 2nd Ave SW, Wells, MN 56097). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mansfield Lutheran Church (14711 630th Ave, Alden, MN 56009).
