It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James L. Kauffmann of Wells, Minnesota, who passed away on March 31, 2026, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Verne Kauffmann and Norma Kauffmann (Fratzke); his wife Pam; and his granddaughter Ashley. He is survived by: his children, Eric Kauffmann (Jena) of New Ulm, MN, Kereen Johannsen of Wells and Craig Kauffmann of Wells; his grandchildren, Danielle Johannsen, Brianna Kauffmann, Erika Johannsen, Aaron Kauffmann (AJ) and Asher Kauffmann; his great grandchild Maizley Kauffmann; and his siblings, Gary Kauffmann (Marlene), Gene Kauffmann (Kathy Schulz), Steve Kauffmann (Kathy), Paul Kauffmann (Julie) and Jon Kauffmann (Ann). He is also survived by many sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
