She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Harry Aune. She is survived by: her sons, Gregory (Julie), Mark (Janis), Richard (Tami) and Timothy. She is also survived by nine grand-children; and eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials are made to the Richard and Elaine Aune Music Scholarship through the Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation.
