He is survived by: his brother David Karnowski; his children, Michele Smith, Kay Sponsel (David), Daniel Karnowski (Marni) and Roxann Jackson; his grandchildren, Erica Smith, Emily Smith, Daniel Jackson (Laura), Matthew Jackson (Tabitha), Jenna Sponsel, Allison Sponsel and Hailey Karnowski; and his great grandchildren, Emma Jackson, James Jackson, Emberly Burnham and Vincent Kihlstadius.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Walter Scott Erickson American Legion Post (23659 Forest Rd, Deerwood, MN 56444). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Walter Scott Erickson American Legion (23659 Forest Rd, Deerwood, MN 56444).
