He was predeceased by: his parents, Verne Winters and Esther Winters (Bromenshenkel); his in-laws, Beverly, Richard Friedrichs, Mary Winters, Susan Winters, Mike Melby and Rudy Cazeao; and his father-in-law Herb Grundman.
He is survived by: his wife Cathy Winters; his children, Matt Winters (Shelly), Mark Winters (April), Tom Winters (Erin), Paul Winters (Becky), Michelle Winters and Katie Anderson (Eliah); his grandchildren, Luke, Jack, Joseph, Leo Winters, Michael, Sloane, Marlowe Winters, Johnny, William, James, Adeline Winters, Max, Millie, Maisy Winters and Archie Anderson; his siblings, Ron Winters (Nancy), Rita Winters, Gary Winters (Patty Becker) and Liz Melby (Mark Bartholet); his mother-in-law Marilyn Grundman; and his in-laws, Jim Grundman (Ruth), Tom Grundman (Kasey), Teresa Meyer (Danny), David Grundman, Peggy "Toots" Becker (Dave), Sandy Moritz (Mike), Linda Keenan (Larry), Judy Cazeao, Marilou Exner (Pat) and Jennifer Rodgers (Randy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Saint Alexius Catholic Church (11 Oak St, West Union, MN 56389). A rosary was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
