We are sad to announce that on December 2, 2023, at the age of 88, Shirley A. Marthaler (West Union, Minnesota) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Minette and Mary Minette; her husband James Marthaler (Jim); her children, Patricia Marthaler and Ronald Marthaler; her great grandchild Isaac Lieser; her siblings, Leona Bromenshenkel, Mildred Rieland, Mary Mae Olson, Delphine Nietfeld and Jerome Minette (Bud); and her siblings-in-law, Lucille Minette, Rosalie Ecker, Helen Marthaler, Leonard Bromenshenkel, Roman Rieland, Virden Olson, Dave Proell and Vernon Marthaler (Bud).
She is survived by: her children, Daniel Marthaler (Susan) of Sauk Center, Marilyn Nathe (John) of Sauk Centre, Nancy Thompson (Michael) of Alexandria, Gary Marthaler (Donna Imdieke) of Sauk Centre, Carol Engle (Roger) of West Union, David Marthaler (Mary Jo) of Sauk Centre, Diane Mensen of Sauk Centre, Joyce Torvick (Thomas) of Rice and Gerald Marthaler (Kristen) of Sauk Centre; her sister Bernice Proell; and her brother-in-law Bernard Nietfeld.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Shirley's honor to Poor Clares Monastery in Sauk Rapids.
