He was predeceased by: his parents, Dudley Grunewald and Bernice Grunewald (Horkey); and his siblings, Roger Grunewald, Norman Grunewald, Curtis Grunewald, Timothy Grunewald and Pamela Grunewald.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Grunewald; his stepchildren, Jen Johnson (Jason) of Quinn, SD, Jonathan Batzlaff (Brittany) of Wichita, KS and Heather Batzlaff of Westbrook, MN; his grandchildren, Hunter, Hudson, Sophie and Gunnar; and his sisters, Tammy Lenoir of Windom and Patricia LaDucer (Norbert) of Windom. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Lakeview Cemetery.
