He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Horkey and Alice Horkey (Stoever); his grandson Eli Schettler; his father-in-law Lowell Haack; and his sister-in-law Earlene Horkey.
He is survived by: his wife Vicky Horkey of Windom; his children, Chad Horkey (Julie) of Pine Island, Stacy Schettler (Eric) of Sherburn, Jennifer Bakke (Chad) of New Prague and Pamela Hogan of Windom; his grandchildren, Michael, Matthew Horkey, Noah, Emily Schettler, Lyla Bakke, Madilyn and Adison Hogan; his siblings, Gary Horkey (Rita) and Judy Schumacher (Dean); his aunt Betty Whiteford; and his mother-in-law Gladys Haack. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters- in-law; nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be donated to charitable organizations of the family's choice.
