She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Wohlenhaus and Bernice Wohlenhaus (McLain); her adoptive parent Sienna; her husband LeRoy Reckner of Norcross, Minnesota.; her sons, Jon and Joel; her brother Lyle Wohlenhaus; her daughter-in-law Joanne Reckner; her parents-in-law, Earl and Mary Reckner; her siblings-in-law, Albert and Amy Reckner; and her adoptive daughter Suzann Near.
She is survived by: her son Jim Reckner (Chris Myers) of Wheaton; her sister-in-law JoAnn Wohlenhaus of Rosholt, SD; Olivia Anderson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Beyond her church work, Shirley volunteered with the Traverse County NFO, the American Cancer Society, the Wheaton Senior Center, and Meals on Wheels.
