He was predeceased by : his wife Joan; his parents, Lewis and Violet; and his brothers, Scott, Lane and Glenn.

He is survived by : his daughters, Amy Jo Deilke and Lisa Klingbeil (Brian); his grandchildren, Francis, Ishara, Neal, Brianna, April and Alyssa; his brothers, Marc Freshwater (Shelly) and Terry Freshwater (Joanne); and his sisters-in-law, Michele, Margaret and Mary Jo Freshwater. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Stephen Lutheran Church (1965 Co Rd E East, White Bear Lake, MN 55110). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
