It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Joseph Sweeney (White Bear Lake, Minnesota), who passed away on December 4, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Tom (Marguerite) and Kathleen (Stephen); and his brother-in-law Larry Ryan. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Kevin (Diane), Anne Nicholas (Bill), Tim (Mary Ann), Terry, Maureen Gorshe (Mike), Megan FitzGerald (Steve), Michael (Krista), Colleen Shaver (Taylor), Kathleen Shoemaker (Doug), Sean (Hilary) and Kelly Schwartzbauer (Brad); and his sister Rita Ryan. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Habitat for Humanity or Friends of San Lucas Mission.
