He was predeceased by: his wife Darlene; and his brother Lynn. He is survived by: his grandfather White Bear Lake Joined; his children, Cathy Schulze (Ron) and Steve (Kelsey); his grandchildren, Eric, Kevin, Kaitlyn, Casie, Lindsey and Jessica; his siblings, Janet Johnston (Doug), Larae Kaushagen (Luke) and Candice Thompson (Calvin); and his close friend Judy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers, to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
