With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Merry Johnson (White Bear Lake, Minnesota), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Merry left this world on January 8, 2026 at the age of 80, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. Though Merry may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Merry touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Hassel and Hazel Hassel. She is survived by: her daughters, Laurie Mertes and Cynthia Winegarner (Jeff); her granddaughters, Olivia, Aubree and Amber; and her siblings, John Hassel and Ruth Klecker (Dan).
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mueller Memorial-Lake (4738 Bald Eagle Ave, White Bear Lake, MN 55110). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
