He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis (Anna Bergstrom) and Bob; and his wife Mary Bergstrom. He is survived by: his children, Jane Kope and Tim Bergstrom; and his grandchildren, Helen Kope (Jack), Taylor Kope, Lukas Bergstrom (Ellie) and Brennan Bergstrom.
