Ruth Chessey Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Chessey of White Bear Lake, Minnesota, who passed away on June 9, 2025 at the age of 96. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rose McNamara and Tom McNamara; her sisters, Irene, Mary Jo, Maggie, Kathleen, Angela, Rachel and Rita; her husband Bill Chessey; and her former husband Richard Johnson.

She is survived by: her uncles, James and Walter; her aunt Helen; her grandchildren, Rebecca Kaup, Carrie Kaup, Mike Kaup, Eric Johnson (Sara), Austin Hogan and Sadie Hogan Vail (Isaiah); her great grandchildren, Katarinna Johnson and Prescott Kaup; and her children, Ruth Ann, Rick Johnson (Chris), Sue Kaup (Denny), Tom Johnson, Nancy Schnebly (Lindsay) and Barbie Hess (Pat). She is also survived by six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; nieces; nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church (4741 Bald Eagle Ave, White Bear Lake, MN 55110). A reception will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 1:30 PM at the Mueller Memorial - White Bear (4738 Bald Eagle Ave, White Bear Lake, MN 55110).
