She was predeceased by: her father Marvin. She is survived by: her children, Gina, Leslie, Louis, Jeffrey and Nathan Garrett (Alexia); her grandchildren, Kayla and Damian Garrett; her mother Margaret Claeys; and her siblings, Peter Claeys (Karen), Claudia Landolfi (Bob), Diane Claeys (Doug Jones), Eric Claeys (Susan Weber) and Tom Claeys (Jeanne Steinback). She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Regarding COVID - masks are welcomed, but not required.
Through her own donations, support for fundraising campaigns, and by giving her time, she found ways to connect with causes that ranged from food insecurity, to helping those coming out of homelessness secure and maintain employment, to the performing arts.
