It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alice Jaenisch of Willmar, Minnesota, who passed away on April 5, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, George Ruter and Minnie Ruter (Ritz); her former life partner Merlin Thompson; and her siblings, Henry, Herbert, John Ruter, Fannie Mithaugen, Tillie Hauge and Ruth Hauge.

She is survived by : her husband Ed Jaenisch of Willmar; her sons, Mike Thompson (Susan) of Casper, WY, Albert Thompson (Nancy) of Beaver Dam, WI and Mark Thompson (Colleen) of Willmar; her grandchildren, Emily Sorenson (Kelly), Justin Thompson (Katie) and Gerrett Thompson; her sons, Kyle Thompson, Ryan Thompson, Bryce Thompson, Dana Thompson and Jena Berget (Cole); and her siblings, George Ruter (Julie) of Willmar, Gerald Ruter (Betty) of Willmar, Tina Harried of Sacred Heart, Louise Carlson (Curtney) of Pennock and Linda Kamstra (Clinton) of Willmar. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (204 2nd Ave NE, Clara City, MN 56222). A burial was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery (12409 50th St SE, Clara City, MN 56222).

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are preferred.
