She was predeceased by : her parents, Raymond Essendrup and Pearl Essendrup (Christenson); her husband Dale Hanson; and her siblings, James, Gerald, Ervin, Marlin, Adeline Steffens, Dorothy Fransen, Verna Aeikens and Arlene Beers.

She is survived by : her children, Marlene Madison (Randy) of Willmar, Roy Hanson of Willmar, Donna Arndt (Wayne) of Willmar, Randy Hanson (JoNell) of Willmar, Vickie Thompson (Mark) of Willmar and Brad Hanson (Michelle) of Willmar; and her siblings, Raymond Essendrup, Jr. of Maple Grove, Lorraine Bohlsen of Willmar and Colleen Newland of Minnetonka. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Mary (713 12th St SW, Willmar, MN 56201). A burial was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 12:15 PM at the Cloverleaf Cemetery (3003 8th Ave NE, Willmar, MN 56201).
