We announce the death of Brian Todd Thunstedt of Willmar, Minnesota, who passed away on May 6, 2026, at the age of 45. Brian will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his stepfather Candelario Chavarria; his uncles, Barry Lokken and Edward Christianson; and his aunt Barbara Walton (Troy). He is survived by: his parents, Bruce Thunstedt and Betty Thunstedt (Christianson); his children, Alexus Nguema (Jay) of Roseville, MN, Isaiah Windorski of Fargo, ND, Ethan Windorski of Fargo, ND, Elijah Windorski of Brainerd, MN, McKayla Thunstedt of Bird Island, MN, Mariyah Thunstedt of Bird Island and Brian Thunstedt, Jr. of Bird Island; his granddaughter Alayah Nguema; his siblings, Bradley Thunstedt (Robyn) of Willmar and Shannon Dunks (Jay) of Bird Island; his nieces and nephews, Ashton Dunks, Jaden Olsen, Abigail Betker (Jessie Engler) and Emma Thunstedt; and his godmother Ruby Lokken.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (23 E Rooney Ave, Appleton, MN 56208). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
