She was predeceased by: her parents, John Giinthir and Kuni Giinthir (Danner); her husbands, John Swart and Harold Kostka; her son Thomas Swart; her granddaughter Jessi Thorpe; and her siblings, John, Paul, Earl Giinthir and Margaret Nash.
She is survived by: her children, Mavis Johnson (Robert), Larry Swart (Shirley), Janet Thorpe and Joyce Sweep; and her grandsons, Benjamin Thorpe (Esther), Eric Johnson, David Evenson (Shawna), Chad Evenson, Danny Evenson and Sean Swart (Heather). She is also survived by six great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
