Lester Heitke Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 24, 2025, at the age of 76, Lester Heitke of Willmar, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Lester has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 9:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Church of St. Mary (713 12th St SW, Willmar, MN 56201).
Beyond his role in government, Les served on numerous community boards, including the Bethesda Foundation, Economic Development Commission, Rice Hospital, and United Way.
