He was predeceased by : his parents, Martin Sr. Knoll and Lela Knoll (Whitcomb); his son Kevin; and his siblings, Buela Youngkrantz, Lela Mathews, June Oslund, Betty Klinschmidt and Jessie.
He is survived by : his wife Shirley Youngkrantz; his son Wayne Knoll (Wanda) of Lake Lillian; his grandchildren, Trista Knoll of North Mankato and Dr. Chelsey Rettmann (Dan) of Fairfax; and his great grandchildren, Rose and Raina Rettmann. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
