She was predeceased by : her parents, Harlan Boersma and Angeline Boersma (Slagter); her husband Gerald R. Lief; and her brother Dennis Boersma. She is survived by : her children, Todd Lief (Beth) of New London and Michelle Keller (Jeff) of Willmar; her grandchildren, Donavan Wold, Isabella Keller, Christopher Faber (Jenny), Brock Baker (Jodi) and Joselyn Baker; her great grandchildren, Cataleya Keller, Avery Faber, Colby Torrence, Bjorn Glimsdahl, Barin Baker and Nevaeh Knutson; and her siblings, Allan Boersma (Ruth Ann) of Kerkhoven and Betty Ammermann (Dave) of Clara City. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Reformed Church (1237 15th St SW, Willmar, MN 56201). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Cloverleaf Cemetery (3003 8th Ave NE, Willmar, MN 56201).
